Practice committee continues to consider the schedule and calendar with an eye for safety and accessibility. Here are the recent recommendations and decisions.

We will continue the evening program – Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – in-person in the zendo with a Zoom option, 6:00-6:30 zazen followed by service.

Beginning Monday, July 26 we will add in-person zendo morning zazen with a Zoom option, weekday mornings, 6:00-6:40 (note that this is a change from the current schedule) and Saturdays at 8:30. Morning service will follow zazen at 6:40 a.m.

For now, we will continue the same chant rotation as has been used during this past year, gradually becoming reacquainted with the more formal service sequence of bells and bows.

Many thanks to the team of Inos (zendo managers) who are making this possible: Yaro, Ken, Liz and Rachel!

Practice Committee will consider the possibility of re-opening the Wednesday evening in person zendo program beginning in September.

Additionally, we plan to reinstitute the once-monthly Introduction to Zen beginning in September.

Saturday, July 24 at 3 p.m. we will have an Eye-Opening Ceremony – symbolically celebrating our return to a more complete on-site practice schedule. Tea and treats to follow the brief ceremony.
