7:45am to 12 noon, in person with Zoom option, led by Rev. Eugene Bush h in person and via Zoom.

In preparation the memorial the following day, this is a chance to sit together and reflect upon our understandings of what and how Katherine taught.

10 Year Memorial of our late Abbot Sobun Katherine Thanas

The Memorial is co-sponsored by both the Santa Cruz Zen Center and Monterey Bay Zen Center. It begins with a short ceremony followed by shared reflections on Katherine's teachings and friendship; closing with enjoying each other's company and snacks.
