There Is A Place
By Rev. Cathy Toldi
There is a place
where the crickets and frogs are
louder than that voice
that says you are alone,
where
warm water flows
out of the earth with such
generosity that beings
for thousands of years
have taken refuge there.
Your pain feels this,
and for a moment,
or an hour,
it relaxes its grip,
and you look out and see
the sun on the grass,
the wind in the tree,
your skin is open,
you feel the embrace,
you hear the big bronze bell
calling
your true name.
