A Week To Remember - Our Enlightened Nature
This year’s Rohatsu schedule is intended to offer an infrastructure to support our busy lives, now still largely negotiated from home. Its three short daily blocks of meditation can offer the rhythm or beat to “dance” with throughout the day. By returning to the cushion a few times during the day, we can remember more frequently our Enlightened Nature, and see our daily lives more clearly as the activity of Enlightenment.
You are encouraged to use these next few weeks to adjust your schedule and be able to attend as many of the sitting and lecture during Rohatsu as possible. What would it be like to make introspection and insight the focus of your week? Of course, you can also drop into any of the sits or talks as your schedule allows.
The daily brief talks will look at Dogen’s fascicle “The Moon.” Here he explores Enlightenment and how Enlightened Mind is brought into our lives. All sittings are done on Zoom.
