Amid the music and drumming of the day-long Japanese Cultural Fair, Zen Center lends out our back patio for the “quieter” demonstrations of Flower Arranging, Tea Ceremony, and Bonsai. We take this opportunity to introduce the Zen Center to the Santa Cruz community. We show people our zendo, gardens, and dokusan room. And we show them our daily sitting schedule and upcoming activities. We make this event an Open House!

 If you would like to volunteer as a host, or help with preparation or clean-up, please sign up on the bulletin board. We need volunteers to help with making Taiyaki before the fair.
