This evening’s speaker is Rev. Nannette Overley.
Monshin Nannette Overley is a priest and sangha elder at Upaya. She is an active participant in the local Upaya sangha, and a practice mentor for Upaya residents. Nannette graduated from the Upaya Chaplaincy Training Program in March of 2018, and continues her chaplaincy work addressing the suffering of old age and death in Santa Fe nursing homes. She is a longtime Santa Cruz Zen Center practitioner, having received the precepts from Katherine Thanas in 2008, and was ordained as a novice priest by Katherine's dharma heir Eugene Bush in 2017.
